Turkish Cultural Center and Embrace Relief initiated “Water Wells” campaign to ease the difficulty of obtaining drinking water in Kenya.

Embrace Relief started its “Water Wells” campaign in 2011. Since then, with the help of its volunteers and sponsors like Turkish Cultural Center, 150 water wells have been built in regions with little or no access to drinking water. These wells are currently functioning to help ease the difficulty of obtaining clean water for the locals in these regions.

The TCCNH and Embrace Relief teamed up in November 2014 and installed a well in Mukono Village, Uganda, in memory of journalist James Foley slained by ISIS terrorists in the summer of 2014.  Now, do to this effort thousands of people who once had to walk miles for fresh water, now have it available to them in their own village.

More than 9,000 people die everyday due to lack of clean water, especially as the drought threat is growing more severe in large parts of the world now. In addition to drinking, the contaminated water is also used for cleaning and cooking. While trying to access clean water sources currently available, the majority of people carrying them home are women and children whom walk as far as 3-5 miles.  Because of the long and difficult journey, children are often missing out on an education and women on work. This results in missed work, school and exposing them to traffic accidents while crossing roads or even to sexual assault.

This campaign gives you an opportunity to help thousands of people (on average 1,000 people benefit from each well; mostly children) to access clean water. We are planning to build 3 wells in Kenya. Each well will cost $4,500.

You can help us build water wells by donating to our existing campaign named as New Hampshire Water Well. You can spread the word to your friends and family to raise funding for the campaign. You can contribute any amount to help us build wells. All of the donations are added up until we have enough to build a well.

You will receive a tax deductible donation receipt from Embrace Reliefwhich is a nonprofit with 501 (c) (3) organization.

In addition, for donors of $100 and more, Embrace Relief will provide an appreciation certificate that includes your name, picture and GPS coordinates of the related well once completed. Each water well takes 8 to 10 weeks to build in Kenya. If you decide to donate for one entire well yourself or your family, the well can be named after you or your family and will be reflected with a certificate and pictures and video.

For clean water, all we do is to turn the faucet on. We take it for granted every day.

Help thousands permanently access clean water with your donation.
