Turkish Tea Night
In effort to promote major Turkish trends and further diversify its calendar, Turkish Cultural Center established a coffee night series. The second event of the series, took place at Turkish Cultural Center, elucidated the taste of Turkish Tea – “çay” (CHAI) as well as how a cup of tea could lead to bound together in friendship.
Throughout the event guest-with majority of local universities students-were served with fresh tea in traditional Turkish tea cups where glass cups could be kept as a souvenir at the end of the night. Moreover, multiple randomly selected participants received Turkish oriented gifts.
The most memorable part of the event with Maria Karaman’s hosting was the video show of Katherine Branning, the author of “One more tea please”, where she talked about the reflections of the tea over the daily life in Turkey.
After the demonstration of preparing a “real” Turkish tea, guests had chance to enjoy the delicious food and freshly brewed Turkish tea with a warm social environment.
